Just checked out svn 1814.

Well, it uses them in dialogs, that's right. However, it doesn't seem to use
them in the copy process :|
It still wants to create a direcory 'tmp' in /tmp if i copy a file from
/home/micha to /tmp.
Really, the file root behavior IMHO should be dropped. Probably not trivial,
may need screwing the core in different places.
