FT_Set_Char_Size sets what’s called the “design size” for the font. The
correspondence between this and the text metrics is entirely decided by
the font designer. A piece of text rendered with two different fonts
set to the same “design size” should look approximately similar in
size, but there are no guarantees about how their metrics relate.
