Subject: | [ft] Using a customized FreeType2 on a embedded system |

Dear Werner, I am trying to use a customized FreeType2 on a small embedded system. I simply want to display text on a LED screen (which means I don't need 256 gray levels), I only use TrueType Font, I don't need advanced features like embolden or transform. Environment: MCU: K60 from Freescale, Flash 512K, RAM 128K; IDE: IAR Embedded Workbench for Windows; OS: Freescale MQX™ Real-Time Operating System (RTOS). So, 1) What would be the minimal build of a customized FreeType2 in this situation (small Flash & RAM)? Any suggestions? 2) A friend of mine told me that it would be very difficult to port FreeType2 to a RTOS like MQX,is that true? Many Thanks! Best Regards, Kevin |
