[ft] compilation issue

Hello,

as I was trying to compile freetype 2.4.2 I ran into this:

undeclared (first use in this function)

I am sort of puzzled by this error because I couldn't find a definition
of that symbol anywhere in the sources. Any ideas what it could be?
