[ft] Problem with italics

Hi,


I just again stumbled over a problem with the rendering in my browser in 
italics (using Bitstream Vera Sans, 16). It seems the letter 'r' isn't 
rendered right, ie it looks like a normal r, not italic one.


As I've seen this on some other systems, too, I just wanted to ask if 
there is some configuration involved to correct this behaviour.
