Hi, I hope this is the right place for such things... :-)

There's a particular font I have, foxjump.ttf, that causes a segfault in
the freetype libraries. I'm using Debian unstable, with the libfreetype6
package version 2.0.8-1. (Yes, the font displays fine under Windows;
tested with Windows Me)

The font can be downloaded from the web page:
 http://members.ozemail.com.au/~philcam/foxjump.html
or directly:
 http://www.ozemail.com.au/~philcam/foxjump.zip

The file is named FOXJUMP.TTF in the zip file. There's another font
there, presumably created with the same program ("Softy"), called
foxgrung.ttf that appears to work without problems.

Backtrace follows...

GNU gdb 5.1.1
Starting program: /usr/bin/ftdump foxjump.ttf
