No apology needed, the Oct. 4 versions look quite good though I haven't
done extensive testing in use.

Examination did turn up some details which you may want to correct:

1. FreeMonoOblique.ttf has what amounts to a Space glyph (600 wide, no
contours) for the uni0305 and hookabovecomb characters. I think simply
removing those would be better.

2. FreeSerifItalic.ttf and FreeSerifBoldItalic.ttf have some glyphs in
the range with small negative widths in the sfds. (uni0315, uni031B,
uni0321, uni0322, and uni0335) But since the Advance width in TrueType
is an unsigned value, the effect is a very large positive width.

3. FreeSerifItalic.ttf has small positive widths for uni0313, uni0314,
and uni0334.

4. FreeSerifBoldItalic.ttf also has small positive widths for uni0334
and uni0336.
