Ah, if only...The problem is it's a bit like persuading a customer to take .rtf instead of .doc. Some just say "nope". And as Henri or I will tell you, .tmx and Trados or Wordfast (we never did get to decide which was to blame) appear to have interpretation differences when it comes to .tmx.
If this is the case, there is no problem. Otherwise translators would be forced to use Trados and no other CAT program.
Indeed. I just don't work for that kind of agency but others' livelihoods might depend on it.
Moreover, I think Julien successfully imported a Trados-based TM into WordFast, which means WordFast can export its own TMs into a Trados compatible format, which also means, we can ask them how we should proceed to get such an intermediate format in-between Trados and FreeCats.
I've never had any trouble importing Trados memories directly into Wordfast, but I think exports are limited to .tmx (unless that's changed in the most recent version).
