Details:
Even if whitespace has been declared as non-significant, the Xml functions
still reads indentation whitespace, which is not desired.
This patch removes all whitespace before the first non-whitespace, and all
whitespace after the last non-whitespace, provided whitespace is to be
consider non-significant.
