Well, some basic formatting should be expected, imho. Such as marking a
some text with a certain color. IIRC, there's already base classes for
building a tree with text and formatting styles in TextBoxBase. But I
have no idea how useful it actually is, as I've never looked into them.
Personally, I just want the RTB for chatwindows, to mark certain lines
with a specific color depending on the type of message, etc. You get the
~ idea. And I know that many C# networking apps and stuff uses RTB for
the same reason, including _Simon's Jabber client, IIRC.
So, by defining the purpose of RTB in my, and others', apps, I think
most ppl can figure out what functionality is expected. And features
like exporting to a '.rtf' file is thus not what I use, or honestly
doesn't really care if it's implemented.
