Okay, I'll start poking around with TreeCC tonight and keep an eye towards
the C compiler.  Once I get familiar we can decide if my time is better
spent on C vs something brand new like Python (though the latter sounds
more glamorous, you have to be functional too)

I can do IRC; is there a special time other than the weekly Sat meetings?
