I believe the fight here would be easier if there was a non-us copyright
treaty that countries could join with fairer more balanced terms than the
US demands, and a decent weight of members. Taiwan might actually be
important enough to get a few others to sign up to such a thing.
That way they can show they are interested in copyright, just not the US
dogma. So many financially weak countries just cave to the US, to their
disadvantage.
