No, the autotools variation does fine once you fix the errors in
"gruel/src/include/gruel/Makefile.am" (seems like an extra "<<<<<<< HEAD" got
in there) -- I mean, it still errors out doing the socket test, but otherwise
the Python tests run OK (and pass).

Hmmm ... those look OK overall. If I have time, I'll look at this over the
weekend -- or, maybe you'll figure it out before then :) - MLD
