Here is what you need to do SIOCSIFHWADDR = 0x8924 s = socket.socket(socket.AF_INET, socket.SOCK_DGRAM)ioctl(s, SIOCSIFHWADDR, struct.pack("16sH6s", ifname, socket.AF_UNIX, hwaddr))
