This band contains medium wave (broadcast AM) transmissions, which are AM
modulated. You will also find shortwave broadcasts in this band, which are
also modulated in AM.

There are also ham radio allocations in this frequency range, which will
use a variety of modulation types, but largely single sideband or a
continuous carrier keyed on and off for morse code.
