        Fix a portability bug reported by Alexandre Duret-Lutz: Solaris 8
        make handles suffix-rules differently from GNU make.
        
        (SUFFIXES, .in): Remove.
        (autoconf autoheader autoreconf autoupdate ifnames autoscan autom4te):
        Move the body of the old .in rule here.
