undocumented feature in "date" command

Didn't see it in the man page, but date +"%u" appears to print the day
of the week starting from Monday.  For example.

address@hidden:~$ date
Fri Nov  9 00:00:04 CST 2001
address@hidden:~$ date +"%u"
5
