Thanks for the patch.  I've done this:

  $ ./pinky --help | grep produ
    -l              produce long format output for the specified USERs

And this:

  $ ./pinky -l
  ./pinky: no username specified; at least one must be specified when using -l
  Try `./pinky --help' for more information.
  [Exit 1]
