Hey Jeremiah,

I took a look now in test/common_armv7l's M1 files. They seem to be quite nice!

Should I look into other places as well?

(The ARM register corresponding to BP is officially named "FP", but it's fine
either way)

Sure. On the master branch or where?

What's up with it?

Also, it seems that all ARM generated files have some problem in the ELF
headers (maybe I'm using the wrong mescc-tools version? Or file(1) has a
problem?):

$ ./test/results/test14-armv7l-binary
./test/results/test14-armv7l-binary
$ file ./test/results/test14-armv7l-binary
./test/results/test14-armv7l-binary: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, ARM, EABI5
version 1 (SYSV), statically linked, corrupted section header size
$ ./test/results/test24-armv7l-binary
./test/results/test24-armv7l-binary: Incomplete read of file header
$ file ./test/results/test24-armv7l-binary
./test/results/test24-armv7l-binary: ERROR: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, ARM,
EABI5 version 1 (SYSV) error reading (Invalid argument)
$ objdump -x ./test/results/test24-armv7l-binary
/gnu/store/iwfnm2prxj5ms2w2rllmjv9miqpdri6v-profile/bin/objdump:
./test/results/test24-armv7l-binary: file truncated
