Actually the workaround of using Cygwin does not quite work. I get issues with
this saving files:
■ Warning (unlock-file): Unlocking file: Invalid argument,
//wsl.localhost/Ubuntu-22.04/home/brucea/foobar, ignored

This is a problem many users have reported, that arises from a bug within the
WSL X server's treatment of key press and repeat events.
It is not within our power to fix it; use the Cygwin or MS Windows builds
instead.
