That you think embedding the `(while t "whoopsie")` in a font-lock callback somehow make emacs more culpable is indicative of a young person's rush to judgment and inclination to conflate. I challenge you to find another single-threaded program in which "while (true)" doesn't require a kernel-level interrupt.
