The words START and END do not appear, in that
order, in the docstring. Actually, they don't
appear at all. That means they are
not searchable.

(checkdoc-current-buffer t) would tell you this
if you run it in an Elisp pack. If you run it
in a C file, I don't know what will happen, but
the principle is still a good idea both from
a principal and a practical standpoint.
