for what's worth, here's the error generated when trying to open a png file.File mode specification error: (error "Invalid image specification") [2 times]
Note again, the problem is that i'm unable to view ANY jpg or png file, using GNU Emacs binary for Windows. Don't know if this is considered a bug or not...
