bug#3163: missing fonts in Emacs/Linux

Please always use M-x report-emacs-bug to report such problems.
This would have told us for example which version of Emacs you're using.
My guess is that you're using Emacs-22 and if try the Emacs-23 pretest
you'll see that your wish has been granted.
