Hi,

I'm the maintainer of GNU Zile. Zile Is Lossy Emacs. Zile is a lightweight, portable Emacs clone. Its only purpose is to stand in for Emacs when for one reason or another Emacs won't do: for example, it won't install on a given platform, or takes too much memory or disk space, or starts up too slowly.

Ideally, Zile wouldn't exist. But while it does, it would be nice if it could be mentioned in Emacs's documentation, as many Emacs users have found it useful over the years (including myself, which is why I started to use Zile) and many more may yet do so.

I've mentioned it in MORE.STUFF and faq.texi.
