Since the switch there have been many problems related to the way the
font backends select the font to use for non-ASCII characters (if you
peruse the bug reports and emacs-devel you'll find plenty of
cases).The information in the font log shows how is your Emacs doing
the selection. Let's hope Jason or Handa-san can make sense of it.
