emacs -Q -nw -f server-start # create an X11 frame emacsclient -c Move the mouse pointer of the buffer name on the mode-line. Tooltips are displayed in the echo area instead of popping up where the mouse pointer is. That is inconsistent with what happens when the X11 frame is created using: emacs -Q
