Hello EMACS hackers,
I'm in a fight for UTF-8, in the name of universality of computer sciences
worldwide, which would allow japanese/israeli/arabic/hindi/... people to
use the same standards for encoding, avoiding useless headaches or IRC
flamewars.
Wouldn't that be a good feature (I can't implement it, I have no lisp or C
skills, that's why I ask and not just send a patch) to switch
automatically the charset to the right one, by detecting it, so that users
wouldn't see UTF-8 as "incompatible and buggy crap" ?
Thanks for reading and maybe for implementing.
Yours sincerely,
J. Desoutter
