Disabling dired-free-space-program for fuiture sessions does not work.

The usage of df in dired significantly slows it down for some systems.

If you try to customize by disabling it for future sessions, you get


 '(dired-free-space-program nil))


written in to your emacs file.  But this statement has no effect.

So you have to make the adjustment manually every time you enter emacs.
