In GNU Emacs 21.1.50.2 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit, Xaw3d scroll bars)
of 2001-11-13 on pot
C-x C-f /fly.cnuce.cnr.it:octave-cvs RET
octave-cvs is a symlink to .mirrors/octave-cvs. If I visit the latter,
everything is okay. But if I visit the symlink, ange-ftp says that the
file is not there.
That address can be visited without problems usign ftp, links, or netscape.
