Oh , I see that now, in the Elisp documentation. No offense, but as far as
I'm concerned, that thar is a misfeature.
I'm no emacs-hacker, but I'll look into adding a visibility attribute to
buffer.

Yes, Emacs uses buffers whose names begin with a space for its
internal uses.
I'm not sure what to do with such files. Any suggestions?
