Hi, (I'm reposting this in the hope some-one may know) I've found that gdb 5.0 will not resolve the symbols of a binary built without the flag '-xs' on Sun Workshop 4.2's CC compiler, (Solaris 2.6). Yes. That was a trick sun pulled to speed up link time.
Is this an known bug/limitation and has it been fixed or will it be?
GDB doesn't know how to handle this. I don't know of anyone working on this problem so I encourage you to do so.
I would suggest starting with a more current GDB: http://sources.redhat.com/gdb/ Andrew
