As for languages like C/C++, they admit that one adds #pragma directives,
and it is often the case that most compiler options are available that way
(but I do not know about GCC).
As for Bison, the principle is the same: Ideally the alternatives available
as startup arguments should be available as % options that can be put in
the file.
