[Bug-AUCTeX] Fontification error?

Hi,

after entering the command

emacs --no-splash --no-init-file --no-site-file
--load /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/tex-site.el fancyvrb_tst.tex

and filling the buffer with

--%<--------------------
\documentclass{article}

\usepackage{fancyvrb}

\begin{document}

\begin{VerbatimOut}{f.txt}
\begin{itemize}
\item blabla
\end{itemize}
\end{VerbatimOut}

\begin{itemize}
\item blabla
\end{itemize}

\begin{VerbatimOut}{g.txt}
\begin{itemize}
\item blabla
\end{itemize}
\end{VerbatimOut}

\end{document}

the fontification fails as shown in the attached .png-file.

Am I doing something wrong? If not is there a simpler remedy than
entering an empty VerbatimOut-environment?
