Problems...

Akim,

Things haven't been going as smoothly as I had imagined.
Firstly, my old Linux system was a piece of trash and luckily
I inherited a better system (Y2K compliant, for instance).
It is also faster, has more reliable hardware, and has enough
disk space for me to do a server installation...so my network
works...

I've installed Red Hat 7.2 and put the proper versions of
autoconf, automake and gettext, but I've forgotten the magic
regarding how to grab the branch tarball.

Do I need to login to CVS in order to run autoreconf?

% cvs -d:pserver:address@hidden/cvsroot/a2ps login
Logging in to :pserver:address@hidden:2401/cvsroot/a2ps
CVS password: <RETURN>
cvs [login aborted]: connect to savannah.gnu.org(199.232.41.3):2401
failed: Connection refused
% cvs -d:pserver:address@hidden:443/cvsroot/a2ps login
Logging in to :pserver:address@hidden:443/cvsroot/a2ps
CVS password: <RETURN>
cvs [login aborted]: recv() from server savannah.gnu.org: Connection
reset by peer
%

I take it I have to be logged in to CVS in order to "autoreconf -f -v
-i".

Help bootstrap me...

Thanks,
/Ed

This project's CVS repository can be checked out through
anonymous (pserver) CVS with the following instruction
set. The module you wish to check out must be specified as
the modulename. When prompted for a password for
anoncvs, simply press the Enter key.

Source tree:

% cvs -d:pserver:address@hidden:/cvsroot/a2ps \
    login

% cvs -z3 -d:pserver:address@hidden:/cvsroot/a2ps \
    co modulename
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks,
/Ed
